These terms cover how you may use the AI Outfitters website. They are written in plain English, and they describe what the site is for, what our free demo and Build-Ready Score actually are, and where our responsibilities begin and end. By browsing or using this site, you agree to them. They are governed by the law of New Zealand.

By accessing or using the AI Outfitters website at aioutfitters.nz, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.
We may update these terms from time to time as the site or our services change. The version published on this page is the one that applies. We will note the date of the most recent update, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
If anything here is unclear, email us at hello@aioutfitters.nz before relying on it.
AI Outfitters is a bespoke-software studio based in Wānaka, Otago, New Zealand, working with clients across New Zealand. We build custom software and automation for small businesses, built faster with AI.
The site is run by AI Outfitters. The best way to reach us about anything on this page, including a question about these terms, is hello@aioutfitters.nz.
This website is informational. It explains who we are, the kind of work we do, and how an engagement with us typically starts. It is a starting point for a conversation, not a product you buy through the site and not a binding offer of any kind.
Nothing on this site, including the descriptions of our services, the free demo, or the Build-Ready Score, creates a contract between us. We are only engaged, and you are only committed, once both sides have signed a separate written agreement that sets out the specific scope, price, and terms of the work. Until that agreement exists, there is no contract.
We describe a free-demo approach on this site: you can request a free demo through our contact form, and we aim to come back to you about it within a short window of a few business days. This is a description of how we usually work, offered for information. It is not a binding promise to provide a demo, to meet any particular timeframe, or to take on any particular project, and we may decline or adjust it depending on the request.
We also describe an approach where we do not quote a fixed price until we have shown you something concrete and understood your problem. Again, this describes how we prefer to work. Any actual price, scope, or timeline is only fixed in the separate written agreement described above, not on this page.
The Build-Ready Score is a short, interactive self-assessment tool. You answer a set of questions, and it produces an indicative score, a tier, and a simple breakdown to give you a rough sense of how ready a software project might be.
It is indicative only. It is not financial, legal, accounting, or other professional advice, and it is not a guarantee, assessment, or commitment about your project, its cost, or its outcome. You should not make decisions based on the score alone. If you choose to share your email address to unlock or receive your result, we may use that to follow up with you. We explain how we handle that information in our Privacy Policy.
Please use the site lawfully and reasonably. In particular, you agree not to:
Unless we say otherwise, the content on this site, including the text, design, branding, and code, belongs to AI Outfitters or is used by us with permission. You may view and share it for your own information, but you may not copy, reuse, or republish it commercially without our written permission.
Any demo, prototype, or concept we show you before an engagement is agreed remains ours. It is there to illustrate what we could build, not to transfer ownership.
When we do build something for you under a signed engagement, ownership of the work we deliver is dealt with in that agreement. Our intention is that you own what we build and hand over for you, on the terms set out in the engagement, once it has been delivered and paid for as agreed.
The site may link to other websites, and it relies on third-party services to run, for example hosting (Vercel) and email delivery (Resend) for the messages you send us. We choose these providers carefully, but we do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability, or their own terms and privacy practices.
If you follow a link to another site or interact with a third-party service, that is between you and them. We name the providers we use, and explain how they handle the limited information involved, in our Privacy Policy.
We work hard to keep the site accurate and available, but we provide it on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that it will always be available, error-free, or up to date, and the general information on it is not a substitute for advice tailored to your situation.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, this site, including any decision you make based on the general information or the Build-Ready Score. Where we have a legal liability we cannot exclude, our total liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any rights or guarantees you have under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or other laws that cannot be excluded. Where the Consumer Guarantees Act applies to a service we supply, your rights under that Act continue to apply alongside these terms.
Separately, the terms of any paid work we do for you are governed by the written engagement agreement for that work, not by this page.
These Terms of Use are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and the New Zealand courts have jurisdiction over any dispute relating to them or to your use of the site.
We may change these terms as the site evolves. The current version always lives on this page. If you keep using the site after we update it, you accept the change.
Questions about these terms, the site, or anything we have described here can go to hello@aioutfitters.nz, and we will do our best to help.
